Art Space, Work and News

Hello you there,

How have you been? I've been all over the place but that is just more for me to tell you here. I am very glad to be Blogging. It is helping me express myself in a different way. I have even been thinking about Video Blogging and/or just Blogging about more personal issues but we'll see. I am on the verge of getting a job within my field of choice that would let me relocate to wherever I want and I might be moving to Seattle in the near future.

As an artist I have a lot more opportunities in a big city. Here in this little pond called Olympia, there are too many fish thinking BIG of themselves. I need to be around the real big fish in the big SEA(ttle)

Olympia, is very calm and full of creativity. I have never been in a place so full of Art but this isn't for me. I need more but until then I'll make the best of what I got going on here. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment where I transformed my living room into my office / art room and used the front closet as an audio booth. I love this little space. I've only been here for a couple of months and it is a big downgrade from my last place and I'm still getting used to it.

It isn't perfect but it is enough for me to get the job done. To do videos and pictures on the green screen I have to move many things around but that's ok as long as I get it done.

I did experiment with some pictures of myself this week. I took some parts of a broken vacuum cleaner and used them as props; just for fun.

My Mohawk is looking good. I'm digging it a lot. Just needs some professional touch ups since I did it myself. A kid told me I looked like Maynard James Keenan from Tool. I guess I am ok with that.

I promised to add some of the progress on the new music I've been working on, so here's a short preview of 3 sample tracks out of the bunch. These are in no way, shape or form finished. The first song, "Brazilian Getaway" still needs the lyrics to be fully written. The second song, doesn't have lyrics and or a name. The third song, "Make it go Away" already has lyrics. It just needs vocals recorded.

I'm really excited for this new batch of songs. I may need to rethink my 3 EPs idea and maybe do a 4 EPs series because some of this new stuff deserves to be released with the rest.
